Ranthambore wildlife safari booking
There are two types of vehicles permitted for
Jungle Safari in Ranthambore National Park - the 4 wheel drive jeep (Open top roof Maruti Gypsy) and Canter (open top roof bus). Both safari vehicles are open from all sides to explore wildlife in the forest of Ranthambore National Park, due to which they provide the best viewing wildlife experience in the forest.
A limited number of safari vehicles are allowed to enter Ranthambore National Park in each shift. A maximum of 140 vehicles are allowed to enter the park at a time by the Forest Department. A total of 88 jeeps and 52 canters are allotted in all the safari zones of Ranthambore National Park, which includes 58 jeeps for regular safari, 20 jeeps in tatkal quota, 5 jeeps in special category quota and 5 jeeps for full day / half day safari. Canters are allocated in all safari zones except zones 7 and 8.
All these vehicles are associated with the forest department and are owned by the local people. Only those vehicles that are registered with the forest department are allowed inside the park for a jungle safari. Vehicles that have not been registered with the forest department for a jungle safari tour are not allowed inside the park. All safari vehicles in Ranthambore National Park are registered with the Forest Department under vehicle model conditions. Private vehicles are not allowed inside Ranthambore National Park.
